Usually, a child suffers from diarrhea after the onset of an upper respiratory tract infection. Diarrhea is a short-term condition that may stop even without medication. Home remedies can help relieve the signs and symptoms of diarrhea in children.
Guidelines For Drinking Fluids
During the episode of diarrhea, a child can survive without eating solid food, but not without fluids. The body must replenish the loss of fluids due to the increased frequency of stools. In fact, a diet of liquids only is ideal if the kid is experiencing frequent stools.

Pay Attention To The Sensitive Areas
A baby or toddler that develops diarrhea is prone to have skin irritation as well. Apply petroleum jelly or zinc oxide paste to the diaper area. Wash the bottom area of the child with water and mild soap every time you change diaper. Do it often all throughout the day.

When To Call The Doctor
If the signs and symptoms of diarrhea is getting worse, or the medication and remedies are not working within 24 hours, it is better to call your doctor immediately. A s
