A lot of home renovation projects may not add any value to your home. However, some remodeling ways can surely guarantee an increase in your home value. An increase in home value will eventually benefit you in the long run, especially if you have to lease, rent, or sell your home. Here are some ways to increase home value. Remodel Your Kitchen
You don't have to invest in a deluxe kitchen. If you've spent something like $70,000 on having a fancy restaurant kitchen in your home, the buyers won't pay for that. Besides, it might not match the rest of the house. However, always make sure that your kitchen is better-looking than all the other rooms in the house. You can repaint the kitchen, and you can make it more eco-friendly with low-VOC paint. Add Another Bathroom If your home has only a single bathroom, you can add another one. Choose one room that is not really necessary. You will need around 18 square feet for a half-bath and at least 30 square feet for a full bath. Also, make sure that you have at least 35 square feet for the addition of a bathroom. Make sure you get great prices for the toilet, fixtures, doors, and tubs. Reinvent One of the Rooms Add more area to your home using a new room. This could be an expensive remodeling project, but this can increase your home value. You can spend anything from $15,000 to $30,000 on such a project. You can turn the attic into a bedroom or reinvent your basement. You can add a smaller room using the space in your garage. You can also make the rooms versatile, like a craft and game room. You can also make a playroom with swings if you can. Add Some Energy-Efficient Windows Some windows can help you save up to $600 a year when it comes to heating and cooling expenses. These windows can make your energy more efficient. Energy-efficient windows will give you a green energy tax credit. That should increase your home's value. Give Your Home a Fresh Basic Update You can repaint the home if you can. You can also fix the roof and take care of all the leaks. These can certainly add value to your home. You can also get rid of the mold. Every prospective buyer wants a home that is solid and safe. They'll check routine maintenance, so make sure you've taken care of it beforehand. Some Final Words It's fun and easy to remodel your home to add value to it. However, you might only have to spend some money remodeling and renovating it. The best thing is to get insurance for that home. Thanks for pointing out that home renovations can add value to any home. My husband and I are planning to sell our bungalow house in August to collect more funds for his left knee surgery. We are hoping to find a frameless shower glass door on Monday that can enhance the bathroom for a higher valuation of our property.
